As small business owners, my husband and I dutifully pay our taxes as other honest business owners do. Taxes provide for important quality state and local services such as roads, public safety and an educated workforce. Pennsylvania has many corporate tax loopholes that allow multi-state corporations to shelter their profits with P.O. Box addresses in Delaware and other states to avoid paying their fair share. Closing corporate loopholes would enable us to reduce our overall corporate tax rate and create a positive business environment.

Pennsylvania Doctors Worry Over Fracking ‘Gag Rule’
A new law in Pennsylvania has doctors nervous.
The law grants physicians access to information about trade-secret chemicals used in natural gas drilling. Doctors say they need to know what’s in those formulas in order to treat patients who may have been exposed to the chemicals. But the new law also says that doctors can’t tell anyone else — not even other doctors — what’s in those formulas. It’s being called the “doctor gag rule.”
