Friends and Supporters,
Our campaign has ended but my gratitude to all of the dedicated volunteers, committed supporters and voters will never end. I am very proud of the campaign that we ran and everything that we accomplished. We far surpassed the expectations and the predictions of the political wonks. Though the results were not what we hoped for, the time and energy was certainly not wasted.
We ran a positive, issue driven, grassroots people-powered campaign that made a difference in local politics. We made connections to community groups and individuals all working to bring a positive change in Harrisburg and our community. Our campaign team and strategies created an energy and excitement that was inspiring.
I would like to thank my family for their support. Campaigns take a lot of time and energy and they volunteered their time and gave me the opportunity to work to make a difference in our community. They understood my desire to work for the people of Pennsylvania and I couldn’t have done it without their support.
I would like to thank the members of my campaign team. They spent countless hours keeping everything going. I am proud and honored to have had the privilege to work with this amazing team and look forward to working with them in the future.
I would like to thank my committee people from Caln, East & West Bradford and Kennett. You are the power behind the system. Your dedication to the cause is awe inspiring and I can never repay you for all you have done. I am forever in your debt.
I would like to thank my mentors for your support and encouragement, Lois Herr and Senator Andy Dinniman. That you would provide your time and support encouraged me.
I would like to thank the organizations, unions and clubs that supported me and endorsed my candidacy. It was an honor to have so many good organizations working together for my campaign
The election is over but the work is not done. Please do not go home and decide that we’re done. There is still a lot of work to be done. Democracy needs the input from the people to be effective. We must let our elected officials know that we expect them to be accountable to the people, not their party. We expect them to be responsive to the needs of the peopl,e not the special interests who made big donations to their campaign. We must stay informed and let them know that we expect them to honor their campaign promises.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your time, your energy, your commitment and for the faith that you put in me. I will continue to work to help the people of Chester County and Pennsylvania as I have for the past 15 years. I have some interesting plans for the next year. Please stay in touch. Call me if you need me (610) 659-3145 or e-mail me at Susan@SusanForPa.com I will happily do all that I can to help you, your family and our community.
Susan
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. John F. Kennedy
